Scoring will focus on how well proposals address the theme and objectives of the conference. More points will be given to workshops that appeal to a variety of different learning styles and that include interaction with participants.

Questions may be posed electronically or via phone: Erin Howard, 859-246-6436 or, erin.howard@kctcs.edu. The Access and Opportunity Summit Committee will make the final decision on which proposals will be presented.

Application can be found at: http://www.kyvl.org/html/profession/CallForProposals_Summit_NOV2007.doc

Last call for poster and mini-session proposals for KLA Fall conference

From Matt Onion/Latisha Reynolds:

Hello, this is a reminder that the April 30th deadline for poster sessions and mini-sessions is right around the corner. The fact is that there is much that we can do to help ensure success in the field, both for librarianship as a whole and for individual librarians. Many of the skills necessary to succeed are not taught as well as they could be (I see some terribly-written resumes every time we recruit for a job!). I really like the idea of a "Library Success Institute" as a series of related short programs.

--Bryan

SYDALGE?

What's a Sydalge?

Welcome to the KLDivERS blog!

We wanted a place to have lively, open, immediate conversations about issues relating to the information profession in Kentucky.
